Welcoming Imbolc: Time for Renewal and Reflection

As the Wheel of the Year turns, we welcome Imbolc – it whispers the promise of spring, encouraging us to rekindle our inner flame and prepare for new growth. Celebrated from February 1st through sundown on February 2nd, Imbolc is a bridge between winter and spring, inviting us to lean into the stirring life beneath the frost as daylight begins its return.

For me, Imbolc has become a season of gentle beginnings and inner nurturing. It’s a time for me to fine-tune plans and indulge in rest. It’s especially important during the transition of the shop from Canton to Terrell. There is a lot of work ahead, and it is necessary for me to prepare for growth!

Here are some ways I like to find rest and renewal.

A ritual bath with refreshing herbs and flowers can cleanse the spirit, preparing us for the rejuvenation of spring.

Using fire's transformative energy in a small ritual to release what no longer serves will help ignite intentions for the coming season.

A journal dump of all the swirling ideas to be fine-tuned after a well-deserved rest!
